Cutting through the noise
The hotel was impressively clean, and the staff were courteous. With easy access to the metro and a shuttle service to the airport, it's a great location. The only downside was the poorly marked parking garage, frustrating. Worth a revisit!

Gorgeous hotel and incredible location away from the tourist areas of DC. Early check-in, late check-out, pleasant staff. King room with a lovely view. Plenty of great food at breakfast time. Nice pool, parking onsite. No charge for wake up service and ironing too.

I'm a big Marriott fan and Like any Marriott the hotel always looks luxurious and are very military friendly with amazingly comy rooms.
This one didn't have a refrigerator like most do I have a medical issue that requires me to stay extremely well hydrated and I usually like cold water I had no place to keep it also having to pay 20 + for parking a day kind of ridiculous.

Extremely easy access to the Metro via a short underground tunnel!!! Nice neighborhood full of real houses nearby for quiet walks. Restaurants on 23rd street as well as accessible via the underground 'byways' of Crystal City. Quick transfers to Reagan Airport. Refrigerators.
Long lines at Einstein Brothers Bagels on the weekends. When people want their coffee and bagel they're willing to wait.

THis trip was to visit our son who recently moved to VA. The affordability of the room allowed us to be able to visit & take him to dinner within our budget. The location was excellent & room was very nice. Service was excellent. Water pressure in shower excellent. We loved the bagel place, but didn't try the restaurants.
Big square seating furniture in lobby looked dirty.

Conveniet to Metro - underground and also shopping. Felt it was secure - hotel security were visible. It's location to the the gw Parkway was also convenient. Later than usual check-out of 1:00 pm Staff was very friendly - nearly all greeted us when we met, especially the men, who wanted us to feel welcomed. Lobby was spacious and welcoming. Bar was right there within easy sight. Einstein coffee cafe was located convenietnly and made it easy to get a quick cup of coffee and bagel
Our room did not have a tv guide so we were left to our own devices to find our fav channels. We needed shampoo - so I mentioned it to one of the staff who was working outside our room - she said she'd see that we would get it. Later that evening when we returned, I had to call the Cust. Services to request it. If staff is not able to provide then & there they should advise you to call cust. Service rather then leaving you think that the problem (however small it is) is resolved. Terrible beer selection at the bar - pedestrian at best. They could at least have 2 or 3 imports or crafts - people are much more sophisticated now about beer. When we checked in, the desk clerk could have asked if we desired double or king. We got a double - okay. In our rush I failed to address this, so I need to take equal blame we also stay at the Omni's, so my comparison is from that. I felt that they were better customer trained. They fell all over us to provide our needs, which is nice, but not my most important attribute of a good hotel. The concierge was less than accomodating when I asked about the local restaurants when I asked what feedback she received from guests. She gave me the list and said it depended on how much we wanted to spend and how far we wanted to walk. She acted indifferent and was more worried about the footwear site on her computer. So we chanced Cucina Vivace - good food - horrible atmosphere - couldn't wait to leave. One last thing - our reservation info indicated that there was free wifi thru out the hotel. Wrong!! It was priced at $12.95 per day, except in the lobby, where it was free. It was a major incovenience.

Easy access to shopping, tourist sites and the various transportation modes to get around. Staff were extremely helpful with questions for every part of our trip.
Fees for practically everything...Wi-fi, parking ($24.00 per day). Discovered a new definition for complimentary... Had to pay $7.00 per glass of wine after the fact. &Quot; This has to be put on your room tab.

Despite its (large) size, the personal friendliness of the staff and generally helpful atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable and lacked nothing. Good breakfast selection and nice coffee bar for a casual moment.
